Winerie of Peyrassol

This wine estate in charge of history makes the share beautiful with the contemporary art.

Located in the commune of Flassans-sur-Issole, in the middle of the hills of Var, the Commanderie de Peyrassol was founded in the 13th century by the Order of the Knights Templar. Its vast nourishing lands have been a privileged place for stopping and resting for the many pilgrims on their way to the Holy Land. A jewel of Provençal heritage, the estate has always been able to preserve its agrarian and wine-growing tradition.

A place where creation whispers with history.

At the Domaine de Peyrassol, art is everywhere and the works that mark the property, skilfully staged, encourage the walker to question himself, to be amazed, to dream, to have fun too, according to his strolls.

A fan of contemporary art, Philippe Austruy and Valérie Bach, who runs a gallery in Brussels, have taken it to heart to make Peyrassol a place dedicated to contemporary art where the works, in symbiosis with an exceptional environment take on their full dimension.

Today, the estate is the first monumental sculpture park in Europe and brings together the works of more than fifty leading artists.

12:00pm – Tasting wine

The wine storehouse of Peyrassol was renovated and designed to use the ancestral principle of gravity: neither pumps, nor pipes thus come to abuse musts.

Its concrete or stainless steel tanks of different capacities have been multiplied to allow parcel vinification, a logical extension of the work of identifying and cultivating the parcels upstream.

Sunny plates and perfumes of the soil

The table of hosts of Commanderie de Peyrassol makes it possible to the gourmets to benefit from a greedy pause on its shone upon terrace, in the middle of the place formed by the various buildings of the field.

It offers a cooking with Provençal accents, accompanied by the estate’s wines. Chef Guillaume Delaune welcomes you with a different menu every day, designed according to his desires and seasonal products.

3:00pm – Depart for the shopping in St-Tropez / Shops: Chanel, Dior, Vuitton et Hermès

Wonder of the bell-tower of Saint-Tropez in his dress of yellow ochre and red which echoes the blue of the sea! There should be the same light and the same colors on the small port when Signac discovered it and attracted there a whole generation of painters.

7:30pm – Gastronomic dinner

The only restaurant on the Côte d’Azur with three Michelin stars, five toques and a 19/20 score at Le Gault et Millau, La Vague d’Or invites you to a magical gastronomic stopover between land and sea. In dining room, Thierry Di Tullio and his team take us on a journey of the senses as they tell their stories.
